Timber Trails ("we", "us", "our") publishes independent environmental journalism at timbertrails.co.in. This policy explains what information we collect from readers of this site, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the publication:
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe via the form on our homepage, we store your email address so we can send you our quarterly dispatch. We do not sell, rent or share this address with third parties.
- Contact form submissions. If you write to us, we store your name, email address, subject and message so our editorial team can respond.
- Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to our servers.
We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or behavioural profiling on this site.
How we use it
Email addresses collected through the newsletter form are used solely to send the Timber Trails dispatch. Contact form details are used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use reader data for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you ask us to remove them. Contact messages are retained for our editorial records and may be deleted at our discretion.
Your rights
You may ask us to unsubscribe you from the newsletter, or to delete any contact message or subscription associated with your email address, at any time by writing to editorial@timbertrails.co.in.
